Wow after seeing the word Thing so many times in a few days it is starting to look weird. Thing THING.
So, the Web and Mini Comix Thing (see?!) was very nice. Thanks to everyone who stopped by! It was really good to see everyone :o) Here for your amusement are some photos- (more on flickr)
The comic row by me (note Marc, Anna and Adam's cakes to entice buyers, smart) ^
This man is showing my 3D comic in action! -
I wish my banner had been straight in this picture, boo! -
I came home with lots of comic treasures, unfortunately missing out on two of the main comics I wanted to buy (Kate Beaton and Sarah McIntyre's) but here are some of the bits I did manage to get-
As well as some others that didn't make the photo such as Bedsit Journal and some other badges that are already on my bag.
I was especially happy with my lovely picture drawn by the equally lovely John Allison, I think Glam Rock lion is my new favourite animal.
My favourite purchase was these amazing Rabbit Love stories by Tpcat. I've bought her other work before and it is very good, very very good.
Oh and....if you missed out on my new comic you can now buy it in my shop as well as the new badges and Take Away packs. Hurrah!
I'll add some more links on the right of the blog this week when I get chance and um, that's it for now :o)

In the FLESH!
My comic came back from the printers today!! woop! so here it is in the flesh with the 3D glasses! Also new large size badges!
The colours remind me of something... all I could think of is the old Double Dip sweets... but when I found an image of the old packets it turns out it was red and orange not pink. bah.

Game Boy Marathon Geek Post!
<***Please Note*** If you are not into Nintendo you might want to ignore this blog post...>
Ages back I mentioned this Game Boy lunchbox-
Well after literally HOURS of internet research I discovered it is in fact NOT a lunch box but a carry case for the original Game Boys (obviously, doh) I found this old advert-
The bottom right shows the Game Boy case. I actually had the screen light top right, it was rubbish! It totally weighed down the Game Boy and didn't make the screen clearer!!
Anyway, I made it my mission to find one of the cases for sale on eBay and finally found two slightly different versions!! I went for the version without the writing...I'm going to use it as an evening bag. Oh yes. Hmm or maybe a jewellery case?! Or a fantastic addition to all the other junk in my room.
On my searches I also found some more awesome stuff-
....the amazing clear Game Boy- why did i never get this one?! I had yellow and black versions. Not even the traditional grey! I think my brother had a clear Game Boy color but lets face it, they were never as good. He completed Rugrats color the day he got it and cried. Haw! (shh don't mention I told you that)
....this is artwork done on Game Boy cartridges!!
....this lunchbox made from a vintage SNES!
-and an ipod case made from an old Game Boy!!
I'm a geek.
Oh but this does lead me to my new badge and flyer designs-
Yup, I've had Game Boys on my mind too much. Sorry, that may have been interesting to no one else but just had to get it out of my system. Haw Game Boy system?! NO.
More comic related news later today! (...if only to hide this loser blog post from being top of the list)

Mega blog II
Argh!! I have been meaning to blog for the past 5 days but seem to still be behind on a mountain of things (including submitting work for the Web and Mini Thing anthology which I have now missed the deadline for grr!!) Anyway, a flood of updates....
I am now stocked in 3 comic shops in Berlin!- Big Brobot, Modern Graphics and the Comic Library.
The Berlin Comicbörse was very exciting, here are me and my friend Frauke at the stall.
We met Ulli Lust and Mawil (who also invited us to a comic gathering at the Comic Library on the Monday night!) I really wish Birmingham had a comic library (or London, is there one in the UK?!) it was packed with exciting books and comics with a section of small press for sale and a collection to borrow. The two main German comic publishers Reprodukt and Avant have a host of great artists, I was especially excited to see a book by Arne Bellstorf called Baby's in Black- the story of Astrid Kirchherr and Stuart Sutcliffe- I need a copy!!!! and then someone to translate the whole book into english...
For more images of the fair check out my flickr account (where you can also see photos of me being stupid and strange pictures of sausages and the awesome Ramones museum and stuff) and this site has some photos from the day too.
At the moment i'm working on (as in, haven't started yet...) my next comic which should be ready for the Web and Mini Comix Thing in three weeks. And more stuff too! sleep.
